COLOSSUS
Sculpture and design are concepts that can be sometimes antagonistic and sometimes symbiotic. Colossus console is pure sculpture, a tree rooted in the ground that raises its arms to the sun, a knot of muscles, a frozen explosion of strength and energy, the arm of hercules tensioning and ready to strike.
But despite the weight of the sculpture, design exists. The design provides, in this case, that minimum of rationality so that the center of gravity is balanced, the usefulness of the piece is unquestionable and harmony of volumes is a balm to the sight and touch.
